After crossing the two Salars, we headed to Chile to follow a beautiful Ruta de Las Vicunas from bikepacking.com . It took us through Volcán Isluga national park and Las Vicunas national reserve. After a long wait at the immigration at the border, we finally entered Chile and after a few kilometers we entered the national park.
On the way we crossed a lot of remarkable 18th Century churches ( usually closed )
Deceding to Salar de Surire, where we could camp next to an incredible hot pool. Lots of wild Vicunas along the way.
The route is surrounded by Volcanoes, smoking at more than 5000m up
Finally made it to Sajama, the highest peak of Bolivia with its 6542m
